Holland & Knight Acts as Counsel in Fibra UNO’s $689 Million Offerings on Mexican Exchange
MEXICO CITY (February 4, 2015) – Holland & Knight acted as deal counsel in Fibra UNO's (FUNO11.MX) US$689 million reopening and offering for bonds due in 2019 and 2025, respectively, on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BOLSAA.MX). Actinver, BBVA Bancomer, HSBC and Santander acted as underwriters in the public placements.
The public offers were made as part of the five-year Bond Program registered with the Mexican securities authority (CNBV) for issuances up to $25 billion pesos (approximately US$1.7 billion).
The Holland & Knight team acting as deal counsel was led by Mexico partner Guillermo Uribe and associates Adrian Gay, Jorge Gonzalez, Mirna Ordaz, Alonso Ramirez and Santiago Soldevilla.
In 2013 Fibra UNO announced its inaugural bond program, a first ever for a Fibra (Mexican REIT) in the Mexican markets. In 2014 it made the first ever international bond offer (US$1 billion) for a Fibra, a dual tranche offer which included a 30-year tranche. It was represented in both of those deals by the same team of lawyers.
