Mayan Clients Affected by Chixoy Dam Construction

Description
Clients lost access to fertile river valleys and ancient trade routes when their lands were flooded by the Chixoy Dam which supplies Guatemala with over 50% of its electricity.  A government commission was established to examine their claims and we advise the communities in the negotiations.

Status
23 communities in Guatemala seek compensation from the government due to loss of land and livelihood.
