Holland & Knight Partner Whayne Quin Named D.C. Real Estate Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers 2010

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 15, 2009 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Whayne Quin, a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, has been named the “Washington, D.C., Best Lawyers Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” for 2010. Quin has been named in The Best Lawyers in America guide for real estate law for the past 26 years.
This is the first year Best Lawyers has designated “Lawyers of the Year,” and only one attorney from high profile legal specialties and large legal communities have been bestowed this honor. These specialties include Banking Law, Bet-the-Company Litigation, Corporate Law, Family Law, Personal Injury Litigation and Real Estate Law. Quin was presented this recognition after receiving particularly high ratings on Best Lawyers' peer-review surveys and earning a high level of respect among his peers for his abilities, professionalism and integrity.

Quin concentrates his practice in municipal law with special focus on land use, zoning, urban planning, building and housing codes, historic preservation, environmental, transportation, urban and related real estate matters. His clients have included educational institutions, non-profit organizations, builders, developers, financial institutions, chanceries, international and national agencies and property owners. Nationally, Quin has been a consultant to the private sector in the fields of land use, historic preservation, housing and building related matters. Within his community, Quin has served as Chairman of Children's National Medical Center and participated as trustee or director on numerous boards including the National Building Museum, Safe Kids Worldwide, Greater Washington Board of Trade and other non-profit and professional organizations.
