Gregory R. Meeder is a Partner with the National Construction Industry Practice Group and is the Regional Construction Practice Group Leader for the Midwest. His legal career has focused on complex construction litigation and the representation of public owners, property developers, underground contractors, construction companies, commercial banks, corporations, partnerships, title insurance companies, and individuals with regard to multi-million dollar litigation matters. Mr. Meeder served on the Municipal Board of the Village of Palos Park from 1995-2003 as the elected Public Works Commissioner. During his eight-year term, Mr. Meeder directly supervised multi-million dollar construction projects for infrastructure and building. Mr. Meeder has also served on the Board of Directors of the 192-member Underground Contractors Association from 1996-2000 and is counsel to the association. Mr. Meeder currently serves as the case reporter of the Construction Law and Mechanic's Lien Committee of the Chicago bar Association. He has authored legislation on behalf of the Underground Contractors Association and the Illinois Construction Industry Committee requiring differing site condition clauses in public construction contracts in excess of $75,000.
