Robbin Newman is a Partner whose real estate practice is concentrated in the areas of acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate projects, lender and borrower representation in real estate financing transactions, and commercial real estate development. As Co-Chair of the firm's National Real Estate Finance Team, Ms. Newman's real estate practice includes an emphasis on lender representation in large, complex financing transactions including construction, entitlement, hospitality and mezzanine financing, as well as multi-state mortgage financing transactions which involve Florida compliance issues and attorney opinion letters. Her practice also includes office, hotel and retail acquisition and disposition transactions for national and local commercial real estate developers, hotel owners, REIT's and national retail tenants. Ms. Newman is the author of articles on Florida Condominium Conversions and Comfort Letters for Mezzanine Financing Transactions, and the co-author of a Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education publication on real estate liens and encumbrances.
Ms. Newman is a high school youth mentor in the Women of Tomorrow Mentor and Scholarship Program, having been selected to participate in the program on the basis of her professional and community accomplishments. She is also an active fundraiser for the Diabetes Research Institute, a Guardian Angel for the Holtz Children's Hospital located at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
