Offshore Wind Transmission: Lessons from Germany and Regulatory Considerations for OSW Transmission in the U.S.
Clean Energy Group
Clean Energy Group will present a webinar on offshore transmission and interconnection to onshore substations, which are primary concerns for investors and developers of offshore wind (OSW).
Through panelist presentations and a Q&A session, attendees will learn about other countries' experiences and regulatory considerations for the domestic market. The managing director of TenneT, a highly successful transmission service operator, will provide lessons from German offshore energy and grid integration. Holland & Knight Partner Mark Kalpin will discuss potential ownership structures and mechanisms for developing OSW transmission in the U.S., including means for cost recovery, risk management, and the recovery time objective (RTO) interconnection process.
This webinar is presented by Clean Energy Group for the Northeast Wind Resource Center (NWRC), and is free and open to the public to register.
