Mercury Ballroom, Third Floor
New York, NY 10019
Intellectual Property attorney Leonie Huang and Cybersecurity Partner Mark Melodia will be participating in the "Privacy and the Internet of Things (IoT)" panel at the New York State Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting.
Ms. Huang will be moderating and focusing the discussion on how "smart" devices in our homes and on our person have raised significant and growing data privacy concerns.
Mr. Melodia will be participating in the panel by providing his insights on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and upcoming U.S. state data privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, A.B. 375. The panel will also deliberate on how privacy and consumer protection laws intersect when "smart" devices gather, store and use data collected on the user.
