Partner Mark Melton will participate in a panel at the Recognizing Inter-Generational Equity Pioneers event hosted by the City of Dallas Office of Equity & Inclusion. In 2021, Dallas County declared racism a public health crisis. Sources such as the 2019 Equity Indicators Report suggest inequities persist across a variety of areas, including justice and government, economic opportunity, infrastructure and education. Given the range of disparities across systems, the operationalization of equity must occur in all sectors. During this session, Mr. Melton and other panelists will discuss the current state of racial equity and the intentional work to address disparities over the last several years. Dallas residents, businesses, organizations and other key stakeholders are encouraged to join this in-person event.
