Name, Image & Likeness: Reviewing the Patchwork of Rules & Application

Sports Law attorneys Anthony Mulrain and Tyrone Thomas will be attending and participating in the Mid-Year Conference hosted by the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA). Mr. Mulrain will serve as a moderator and Mr. Thomas as a speaker on the same panel, taking a closer look at the National Collegiate Athletic Assoc. v. Alston (2021) case and its decision to pull back restrictions on college athletes’ scholarships, cash payment and sponsorships. The panel will see how this decision has shifted the NCAA regulations and university policies since the ruling and share their expertise on the NCAA’s interim and permanent policies and more.
