Human Trafficking and the Lawyer's Role in Protecting the Most Vulnerable Members of Our Community

Litigation attorney Barbara Martinez will be a panel member on the keynote address at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida's 2023 Bench & Bar Conference in Miami Beach, Florida. The event offers an opportunity to interact with judges, network with colleagues and learn from a variety of panel discussions. As part of her practice, Ms. Martinez focuses on anti-trafficking related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), corporate compliance and chain of supply issues for companies. She will discuss her experience related to human trafficking and how lawyers in the private sector can do their part to aid survivors, especially through pro bono work.
