Please join Holland & Knight's West Coast Land Use and Environment Group for an informative webinar series to discuss the impact of California's new climate disclosure laws on the nation.

Our attorneys will provide insights and background, including an overview of climate disclosure requirements in the European Union and a summary of California's recently enacted climate disclosure laws. In Part I, our presenters will address key issues – such as who has to report, the reporting requirements, the consequences of noncompliance and timelines for reporting – for each of the following laws:

  • SB 253 (Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act)
  • SB 261 (Climate-Related Financial Risk Act)
  • AB 1305 (Voluntary Carbon Market Disclosures)

We will also cover what's next as far as regulations, potential amendments to the laws and recently filed litigation, as well as explore the overlap with the anticipated U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) final rule on climate disclosures.

There will be a Q&A session following the presentation.
