Preventing and Handling Domicile Audits

Private Wealth Services attorney Shari Levitan will participate in a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) hybrid program exploring how clients can successfully change domiciles to avoid Massachusetts estate taxes. The speakers will cover the basics of changing domiciles, followed by a discussion of how seemingly simple daily activities can affect the ability to avoid these taxes. Ms. Levitan will explain what happens when a client is audited, including how to plan for and defend against an audit, as well as health issues that could impact changing domicile.
