CHIPS and Science Act
Holland & Knight's Public Policy & Regulation Group hosted a webinar to discuss the CHIPS and Science Act. Designed to remake the U.S. semiconductor industry, the act creates a $52 billion grant program to which states, local governments, educational institutions, nonprofits and for-profit companies are all eligible to apply. It also establishes a 25 percent tax credit for investments in semiconductor manufacturing. During this session, attorneys Christopher DeLacy, Nicole Elliott, Greg Louer and Nick Leibham highlighted key aspects of the act and explained how to position an organization to align with the program's goals.
