Gas Prices in Colombia Will Increase; Here Are the Reasons Why

Energy attorney Milton Montoya was interviewed by CityTv, where he explained that because of the national government's decision to import natural gas in anticipation of a deficit in the coming months, gas bills in Colombia are expected to rise. He highlighted that, considering the purchase cost, the international price of natural gas and transportation expenses, the country could see an increase ranging from 30 percent to 50 percent of the current bill value. Although the average expected increase is pegged at 28 percent, the final rate will ultimately depend on the pricing set by the supplier.
