New Environmental Sanctioning Law. What Changed and How to Anticipate It?

Mining attorney Estefanny Pardo presented a new radio program in partnership with La Voz Minera EMG titled “Minería al Día con Estefanny Pardo.” In this episode, Ms. Pardo discusses the recent modification of environmental sanction regulations in Colombia. The new law significantly increases the maximum fines for environmental violations, raising concerns within the mining industry. Ms. Pardo also highlights the heightened responsibility placed on legal miners and the limited impact on illegal miners.
