Corporate Transparency Act: Reporting Is Back On

Holland & Knight's Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) Team led a discussion on the latest developments after the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas lifted the injunction on CTA reporting requirements on Feb. 17, 2025. This change requires companies to resume reporting beneficial ownership information. In response to the ruling, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) announced a 30-day extension of the reporting deadline, making March 21, 2025, the new target date for most companies as they explore ways to ease reporting burdens for lower-risk entities.
