DOJ and SEC Release FCPA Resource Guide that Emphasizes the Need for Updated Compliance Plans

On November 14, 2012, the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission released a formal guide to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  In a 120-page document titled “A Resource Guide to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act,” the government addressed a variety of key issues and the Resource Guide uses both actual and hypothetical examples of certain types of payments and activities in an effort to provide clarity, practical direction, and insights into DOJ and SEC enforcement practices and priorities.
