Mexico: Extension of Shutdown of Non-Essential Services

This Client Alert discusses the extension issued by the Secretary of Health, of the extraordinary actions for attending to the health emergency generated by the SARS-CoV2 virus (COVID-19) in Mexico, published in the Official Daily of the Federation on April 21, 2020 (“Extension”). Initially published in the Official Daily of the Federation on March 31, 2020 (the “Decree”), the Secretary of Health declared various extraordinary actions in Mexico aimed at combating COVID-19, among them the immediate suspension of non-essential activities in Mexico until April 30, 2020. The Extension prolongs such initial term from April 30 until May 30, 2020.
