Energy attorney Claro Manuel Cotes published an article in Legal Industry Magazine describing various efforts to use extraction activities to reactivate the economy. Even though countries like Colombia have issued various regulations to promote the use of renewable energy sources, the implementation of said sources is costly, and they are still far from substituting traditional fuels. Because of that, the immediate actions required to mitigate the high levels of unemployment are found in traditional energy sources generated by the extraction industry.
