OSHA Issues Revised COVID-19 Guidance and COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard

On June 10, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) updated its COVID-19 workplace guidance that applies to all employers and issued a COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard that applies to most healthcare employers. OSHA’s updated guidance comes shortly after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) revised prior recommendations regarding face coverings and physical distancing to reflect a reduced COVID-19 risk to vaccinated individuals.
