California's Environmental State Agencies are Converting CEQA's Anti-Project Howitzer into a Neutron Bomb
Land Use and Environmental Law Attorney Jennifer Hernandez authored an article in the Daily Journal about the impact of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) on disenfranchised communities in the state. She explains that an onslaught of CEQA litigation has left many, primarily communities of color, without the resources and access they need to things like housing and medical care. Ms. Hernandez articulates the need for equitable climate strategies to restore attainable homeownership, reduce poverty and achieve greenhouse gas reductions on a global scale. She argues for transparency, participation and equity to solve the housing-induced poverty crisis in California.
