Real Estate attorney Olufunke Leroy co-authored an American Bar Association article about the rise of regulations and requirements for owning, purchasing or leasing energy projects as renewable energy becomes more popular. The authors discuss property considerations in the purchase, ownership and leasing of certain renewable energy projects and why it is necessary for developers to remain aware of what stage a project is in and the procedures to follow at each stage. Ms. Leroy states that attorneys should advise their clients of the various regulations and restrictions they might encounter at the federal, state and local levels.
