Enhancing the National Quantum Initiative

Public Policy & Regulation attorney Paul Stimers co-authored an article for the Potomac Quantum Innovation Center on the global race for quantum leadership. Mr. Stimers dives into why the U.S. has created a sense of urgency by establishing strategic objectives, research and education centers, and training programs for quantum technologies. The National Quantum Initiative Act is up for reauthorization in 2023, making this the ideal time to broaden its scope, break down barriers and accelerate a “whole of nation” approach. The authors also explain why cross-government collaboration and international partnership and collaboration represent a significant opportunity for the U.S. to commit to leading the world in quantum.
