Mid-Atlantic Land Use Team Welcomes Anthony DeLorenzo, LEED AP ND

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to Holland & Knight's Mid-Atlantic Land Use Team in our Tysons office, Anthony DeLorenzo, LEED AP ND, who joins us as a land use planner and valuable member of our Land Use and Government and Sustainable Development teams.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our firm. His notable work includes a key leadership role in crafting Fairfax County's Embark Richmond Highway Comprehensive Plan Amendment, which earned the 2018 Commonwealth Plan of the Year award from the American Planning Association's Virginia Chapter. His dedication to transforming urban landscapes is evident in his successful efforts to revitalize and redevelop areas into vibrant, sustainable communities.

Anthony's background in urban design and planning is extensive. Before joining Holland & Knight, he served as the urban design and planning manager for the Department of General Services in Washington, D.C., and held significant roles at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and Fairfax County Department of Planning and Development.

Anthony earned an M.A. in urban design from the Universitat de Barcelona and a B.A. in arts/art history from Virginia Commonwealth University. Anthony is also an active member of industry-related organizations, including the American Planning Association and Urban Land Institute. He is a LEED accredited professional in neighborhood development and certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure as an Envision Sustainability Professional. Anthony also holds certifications from the National Charrette Institute and Transit Oriented Development Institute.

Anthony lives in Vienna, Virginia, with his wife and two children. He is a three-time champion in the Vienna/Falls Church 40-plus basketball league, with the goal of winning a fourth title soon.
