House Pushes Through Tribal Labor Legislation
The House of Representatives recently passed a legislation package impacting labor relations with Native American tribes. The legislation includes a provision that would hinder the National Labor Relations Board from acting in tribal employment matters.
According to Partner Philip Baker-Shenk, the package of legislation will now automatically go to the U.S. Senate, where it is expected to be held at the desk and set for a vote in the near future. If it survives the Senate, Mr. Baker-Shenk told Law360, it would make its way to the desk of President Donald Trump.
