Against the Current, Private Companies Establish Themselves in the Oil Market
Energy Partner Carlos Ochoa was interviewed by El Economista about administrative and legislative actions promoted by Mexico's government that seek to strengthen Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and the country's Federal Electricity Commission. On June 12, 2021, Mexico's Tax Administration Service published changes to international trade rules that prohibit private permit holders from importing products in places other than customs, reserving this privilege exclusively for Pemex and the CFE. He pointed out that some of these actions require constitutional amendments, which may increase their chances of failing.
