Partner Paul Bond, a member of Holland & Knight's Data Strategy, Security and Privacy Team, was quoted in an e-book created by Above the Law and Embroker about how lawyers can mitigate risk in the metaverse. Mr. Bond advised attorneys to watch out for new scams, especially those involving wire transfers, to avoid digital asset-related lawsuits or liability issues.
"The risk of wire transfer scams will intensify as it becomes more difficult to tell normal from abnormal when setting up client accounts or processing client instructions,” Mr. Bond commented.
