Q&A with Leading Environmental Expert Jennifer Hernandez

West Coast Land Use and Environmental Group Leader Jennifer Hernandez was interviewed by Southern California Builder magazine. Ms. Hernandez was asked about her career, how her work has influenced the building industry and how the industry has changed over the years, particularly for women. She also provided advice for those who are just getting started in their careers. 

"You need to be proactive and understand from the prospective of those you work with, what their priorities are — how do they think, what is driving their decisions because the ones who succeed are the ones who can handle the difficult, uncomfortable situations because they've gotten into the client's or regulator's or opposition's head," she said.
