Intellectual Property attorney Danilo Romero was mentioned in an article published by Asuntos Legales where he outlines that trademark registration in Colombia usually ranges from 6 to 8 months nationally. He emphasizes the importance of considering international protection for future expansions and notes that trademarks last for 10 years with the option for renewal.

"When it comes to trademarks, the process can take between 6 to 8 months on a national level, but it's always recommended to consider the possibilities for short and medium-term expansion to secure protection in other countries of interest," he said.
