Santa Rosa Chef, Winemaker Honored by YWCA, Help Raise $450,000 for Survivors of Domestic Abuse

Litigation attorney Jessica Brown was quoted in an article published by The Press Democrat about her attendance and support at the "Gather Sonoma: A Celebration of Women, Wine, Chefs and Cheese" fundraiser organized by YWCA Sonoma County. The event, featuring local winemakers and chefs, honored Mary Dewane of Benovia Winery and Liza Hinman of The Spinster Sisters restaurant. A live auction also raised an estimated $450,000 for survivors of domestic violence. Ms. Brown highlighted the importance of the YWCA's mission.

"The YWCA's mission to empower women is very close to my heart. It's great to see women taking the lead in the food and beverage industry. It's the perfect event to see those two forces combined," she said.
