Bankruptcy attorney Gustavo Cuberos was cited in an article posted by Revista Semana in Colombia and the options it offers companies in financial distress. The article highlighted that the new legislation introduces significant changes to the traditional regime, expanding the range of solutions for business crises. Mr. Cuberos pointed out that, although the new law brought relevant modifications, many of these measures had already been implemented during the health emergency.
"The new law introduced important modifications to the original insolvency regime, but these are not new institutions or mechanisms, since practically all of the contents had already been established by the emergency decrees of 2020," he clarified.
