The article discussed how apartment landlords and managers are moving away from revenue management software that uses private information to determine rental rates, opting instead for publicly available data sources. Mr. Racowski commented on the shift in the industry and highlighted potential legal implications of using proprietary data for pricing.

"The most conservative risk-mitigation advice is not to use revenue management software that uses confidential nonpublic information," he said.
