Offshore Wind Industry Braces for Trump’s "Day One"
Energy attorney Elizabeth Craddock was featured in a WorkBoat article addressing the future of the wind industry following President-Elect Donald Trump's election win. The article referred to a panel hosted by Oceantic Network, in which Ms. Craddock took part. Among other speakers, she emphasized the uncertainty surrounding the future of the wind power industry, given Mr. Trump's opposition to the sector. For instance, his administration opposed permitting for the Vineyard Wind project off southern New England during his final weeks of presidency in 2020 after moving forward on such projects at the beginning of the administration.
“I would expect to see some executive orders on day one (Inauguration Day Jan. 20) or in the following weeks,” she said.
