City Council Denies Appeal for 15-Story Building on South Camden Drive
West Coast Land Use and Environment attorney Ryan Leaderman was quoted in a Beverly Hills Courier article about an ongoing dispute between a developer and the Beverly Hills City Council regarding a proposed builder's remedy project for South Camden Drive. The project consists of a residential building with 27 condominiums and rental units, six of which would be set aside for affordable housing, and the dispute concerns when the city council determined the project application was incomplete. California law requires local governments to make this determination within 30 days, or else the application is deemed complete by default. The council contends it met this requirement, while Mr. Leaderman argues it was late. After the council denied the applicant's appeal of its decision, he indicated litigation was possible.
