Holland & Knight Lawyers Named Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2007
ATLANTA – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Cynthia Burnside and Lindsey Churchill, lawyers in the firm's Atlanta office, have been selected as Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2007.
Super Lawyers – Rising Stars names Georgia's top lawyers age 40 or younger as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. The top 2.5 percent of Georgia lawyers are chosen as Super Lawyers – Rising Stars. The list is published in the October issues of Atlanta magazine and in Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition.
Burnside practices in the areas of commercial litigation and employment litigation. She has extensive experience litigating complex commercial cases involving a variety of substantive legal areas including, but not limited to, business divorce, consumer disputes, real estate, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, intellectual property, trade secrets, securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and RICO.
She also has experience litigating and counseling clients on employment matters involving claims arising under Titles II and VII, Sections 1981, 1983, 1985 and 1986, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act and Family Medical Leave Act.
Churchill is a civil trial attorney who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. She represents a wide variety of corporations involved in business disputes arising from mergers and asset sales. Churchill is also a member of the firm's Education Team, where she represents private educational institutions in the areas of academic and employee affairs.
