Keith Fendrick and Joseph Varner Join Holland & Knight's Tampa Office as Partners

Tampa, Fla. – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Keith Fendrick and Joseph Varner have joined the firm’s Tampa office as partners. Fendrick concentrates his practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, and commercial litigation. Varner focuses his practice on commercial litigation and complex personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Before joining Holland & Knight, Fendrick was a partner with Foley and Lardner in Tampa. He has represented financial institutions, corporations, insurance companies, and creditor groups in numerous large Chapter 11 cases around the country. He has also worked with secured and unsecured creditors in workouts, corporate reorganizations, and acquisitions of troubled businesses. Fendrick has been appointed as a receiver for the Securities and Exchange Commission, handling matters involving Ponzi schemes and fraudulent business activities. He is former director of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. Fendrick is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and has been recognized as one of Florida's Legal Elite™ by Florida Trend magazine since 2004.
Varner was most recently with the civil trial firm Knopik Varner Moore. Varner has litigated complex commercial litigation issues ranging from long-term coal contract disputes to dissenting shareholder matters and legal malpractice claims. He is a well-known and well-respected trial attorney and former president of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Varner is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for both Business Litigation and Bet-The-Company Litigation, and has been recognized as one of Florida's Legal Elite™ by Florida Trend magazine since its inception.
