Holland & Knight's Phillip Durham Named "Rising Star" by Airfinance Journal
NEW YORK – October 30, 2012 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Phillip L. Durham, an associate in its Structured Finance Group, has been named a "rising star" in aviation finance law by Airfinance Journal.
Airfinance Journal, a leading trade publication, identifies "rising stars" each year by asking readers around the globe to nominate young attorneys whom they feel best serve the aviation industry. The full list of "rising stars" was published in the September issue of the magazine's Lawyers Guide supplement.
A member of the firm's aviation team, Mr. Durham focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border asset-based financing, leasing, sales, acquisitions, repossessions and securitizations, with particular emphasis on aviation finance in Latin America and Asia. He has represented aircraft and engine operating lessors, international financial institutions and airlines in a broad range of transactions within the area of aviation finance. Mr. Durham is the vice chair of the American Bar Association's Aircraft Financing Subcommittee. He also is a frequent lecturer on aircraft financing topics, including matters relating to the Cape Town Convention, an international treaty created to standardize and facilitate the financing of aircrafts.
Holland & Knight's aviation practice group has a long history of experience in virtually every significant area of aviation law and litigation. The team represents domestic and international aviation clients on legal issues related to every aspect of their business, including regular assistance with transactional, regulatory, investigation and litigation matters associated with their operations.
