Holland & Knight Selected in Four Categories as Finalist for Chambers USA Women in Law Awards 2014
New York (December 3, 2013) - Holland & Knight has been named as a finalist in four categories for Chambers USA Women in Law Awards for 2014. Through these awards, Chambers recognizes individuals and law firms that have made great strides in developing gender diversity and mentoring initiatives to retain and promote female legal talent.
The firm is a finalist to receive an award as Most Innovative Gender Diversity Initiative based on its efforts in this area nationally. The other three categories refer to individual lawyers' activities in furthering diversity, pro bono work and mentoring. Three female Holland & Knight partners have been selected for consideration for these awards, with one lawyer from each of the three categories. They include:
- Janis Schiff, a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, for Outstanding Contribution to Gender Diversity
- Linda Allderdice, a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office, for Pro Bono Work: Private Practice Lawyer of the Year
- Jennifer Hernandez, a partner in the firm's San Francisco office, for Outstanding Contribution to Mentoring
Awards will be given at a ceremony in New York in early 2014.
