Holland & Knight Earns Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index
MIAMI (March 29, 2019) – Holland & Knight received a perfect rating of 100 percent on the 2019 Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. The report is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Holland & Knight joins 571 major U.S. businesses that also earned 100 percent.
Launched in 2002, the CEI is the first internationally recognized benchmarking report for businesses to gauge their level of LGBTQ workplace inclusion against competitors.
"The top-scoring companies on this year's equality index are not only establishing policies that affirm and include employees here in the United States, they also are applying these policies to their global operations and impacting millions of people beyond our shores," said Human Rights Campaign president Chad Griffin.
The 2019 CEI rated 1,028 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, support of an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility. Holland & Knight's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria resulted in a 100 percent rating and the designation as a Best Place to Work for the LGBT Equality.
