Tax Attorney Joshua Odintz Joins Holland & Knight's Public Policy & Regulation Team in Washington
WASHINGTON (March 3, 2021) – Tax attorney Joshua Odintz has joined Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office as a partner in the Public Policy & Regulation Group. Mr. Odintz focuses on tax policy and tax controversy. Most recently, he was a partner at Baker McKenzie, where he served on the management committee of the North American Tax Practice Group.
Mr. Odintz advises clients on domestic and international tax controversy matters at all phases, from audit and administrative appeals through litigation. In addition, he assists clients in seeking legislative changes to tax laws, as well as works with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and IRS on regulatory and other administrative matters.
Mr. Odintz has held high-level government positions with both the Treasury Department and the Senate Finance Committee. He also served as the chief tax counsel to the President's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform under President Barack Obama and was instrumental in formulating the tax proposals that were contained in the commission’s report.
