Holland & Knight Advised Grupo Energía Bogotá on COP$2.5 Billion Issuance and Placement Program
BOGOTÁ (February 20, 2025) – Holland & Knight advised Grupo Energía Bogotá S.A. E.S.P. (GEB), a leading public services company with operations in Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Guatemala, on the successful authorization by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) and Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público for a program to issue and place securities on the Colombian Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Colombia) for an amount of up to 2.5 billion Colombian pesos (approximately US$605 million).
GEB is a Colombian public services company engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of energy, including gas and combustible liquids in all their forms. The program will allow GEB to issue and place on the public securities market, for a period of up to five years, public debt bonds and thematic bonds, including green, social and/or sustainable bonds, as well as internal public sustainability-linked bonds and commercial papers. The securities were registered in the Registro Nacional de Valores y Emisores (RNVE) of the SFC. The issuance program received an AAA rating from the risk rating agency Fitch Ratings Colombia S.A.
