Maria Camila Aponte

María Camila Aponte Martínez is an environmental attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office, where she focuses her practice in public and natural resources law. Ms. Aponte has extensive experience in environmental and social matters within the framework of financing, structuring and execution of projects in the energy, hydrocarbons, infrastructure and mining sectors, among others.

In addition, Ms. Aponte has relevant experience in environmental participation mechanisms, such as prior consultation processes and environmental public hearings. She also has experience representing and advising clients in environmental sanctioning proceedings, as well as in the management of environmental permits and licenses, e.g. obtaining, assignment and modification, among others.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Aponte served as a public servant in the Ministry of Justice and Law (Colombia). Prior to that role, Ms. Aponte served as an environmental law attorney for one of the "Big Four" law firms in Colombia.
