Overview

Bill Banowsky is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office, where he focuses his practice on complex business litigation and arbitration, securities litigation and corporate governance investigations. Mr. Banowsky has been involved with matters across the U.S., as well as internationally.

Mr. Banowsky also represents national and international energy industry clients in various disputes involving contract rights and business torts. In recent years, he has become involved in numerous disputes representing healthcare providers including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, medical device suppliers, physician groups and ancillary providers.

Mr. Banowsky has extensive experience in contract disputes, corporate shareholders rights, director and officer liability claims and disputes, and environmental impact litigation. His securities and corporate governance practice includes the representation of audit committees in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) investigations involving conduct occurring in the United States, Bolivia, Brazil, Nigeria, Iraq and China. He has also represented several local school districts in matters involving the First Amendment, open meetings and open records matters, school finance litigation and general issues involving education.

In addition, Mr. Banowsky is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
