Overview

Jordan N. Bittle is a Fort Lauderdale attorney in Holland & Knight's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. Bittle focuses his practice on matters involving general commercial litigation, contract disputes and landlord-tenant litigation.

In addition, Mr. Bittle maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes assisting military servicemembers and veterans. Notably, Mr. Bittle helped secure a favorable resolution for a military servicemember in connection with a dispute with the servicemember’s landlord. He is also actively involved in the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs GI LAW Program.

During law school, Mr. Bittle served as an articles and comments editor of the FIU Law Review and worked as a teacher assistant to Professor Marci Rosenthal. He also worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as the Honorable Cecilia M. Altonaga of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Representative Experience

  • Represented the former CEO of a medical company following the company's acquisition; favorably resolved post-employment issues
  • Represented the buyers of real property in connection with the sellers of the property failing to sell to the buyers; secured summary judgement in favor of the buyers, which was affirmed on appeal
  • Represented a shopping mall and center owners in landlord-tenant litigation, including evictions, damage claims and lease issues
