Overview
Holly Camisa is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice on commercial real estate, including acquisitions and dispositions, retail and office leasing, financing, as well as tax credit financing. Ms. Camisa represents major lenders, purchasers, sellers, developers and institutional investors in a variety of real estate transactions, including bankruptcy and corporate transactions.
Ms. Camisa takes a practical approach to solving complex legal issues and challenges. She dedicates herself to providing thorough and efficient counsel with the aim of obtaining optimum outcomes for clients. She focuses on long-term goals and solutions while providing immediate turnaround whenever needed.
Ms. Camisa's recent representative experience includes:
- represented one of the largest American drugstore chains and 119 of its affiliates in their prearranged Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, working with landlords at locations nationwide to amend 1,600-plus of the client's leases and reduce their overall debt
- represented an institutional broker in Washington, D.C., assisting with a $155 million refinancing involving 18 borrowers and retail leases
- represented M/C Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, in a significant growth investment in Celito, a communications and managed services provider based in Raleigh, North Carolina
Ms. Camisa's desire to become a real estate attorney is due in part to her love of writing, and historic and world architecture. In addition, her passion for her practice stems from her connection to the practical, everyday impact that real estate has for clients.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Camisa was a summer associate in the firm's Philadelphia office, and served as a litigation paralegal at a Philadelphia law firm.
During law school, Ms. Camisa served as a staff editor for the Temple Law Review.
