Calvin Cheong

Calvin Cheong is Holland & Knight's director of client development and works out of the firm's Century City office. Mr. Cheong focuses on spearheading strategic initiatives in business development, marketing and branding for the firm's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practices and related teams, as well as bolstering the scope of business-related services that the firm provides its clients.

With more than 20 years of business development experience, Mr. Cheong is a seasoned client development professional and global growth strategist. He has extensive experience working with high-growth companies of all stages and the investors that finance these companies. He has worked with businesses of all sizes to lead client-focused and personalized programs that connect them with strategic partners, human capital and growth equity.

Mr. Cheong has a diverse background with experience in capital markets, startups, economic development and professional services, and he is particularly well known in the tech industry. His experience spans across legal, finance, strategy, consulting, marketing and business development, and he collaborates with a range of stakeholders, including investors, executives, government agencies, multinational corporations, emerging and middle-market companies, and early-stage ventures. Mr. Cheong creates effective go-to-market strategies, uncovering business expansion opportunities as well as leveraging market and competitive analysis to provide actionable insights. He has assisted numerous companies in new business development, identifying licensing and partnership opportunities, and securing new equity investments.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Cheong held top client and business development roles at global law firms.
