Overview
Anna Day is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office. Ms. Day represents clients in commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels, and in arbitrations. She counsels clients across a range of industries, including financial services, transportation, energy and natural resources, labor and employment, insurance and construction. Ms. Day has jury trial experience and has served as lead counsel in many cases over the course of her career.
Ms. Day handles complex commercial disputes, including claims for breach of contract and restrictive covenants, business torts, fraudulent transfer, successor liability, breach of fiduciary duties and trade secret violations. She also defends putative consumer class action claims, represents clients in landlord-tenant disputes and defends clients subject to investigations by U.S. government agencies.
In addition, Ms. Day has counseled more than a dozen financial institutions in matters involving loan enforcement and guaranty actions, lien disputes, claims of wrongful foreclosure, claims arising out of federal law such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and post-judgment collection proceedings. She also has obtained positive results for clients in employment-related disputes, including injunction matters, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) actions, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) lawsuits, harassment claims and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigations.
