Overview
Adrienne E. Dominguez is a trial attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office, where she focuses her practice on intellectual property (IP) and commercial disputes relating to complex technologies. She has represented national and international clients in cases involving patent and copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets claims, with particular experience in patent infringement and trade secrets damages. Her experience includes presenting and defending various damages models based on a variety of theories, such as comparisons to prior licenses, benefits analyses based on consumer surveys, cost savings benefits, lost-profits analyses and apportionment of product revenues. She has litigated numerous matters involving standard-essential patents and breach of fair/reasonable and nondiscriminatory (F/RAND) issues.
Ms. Dominguez's experience covers trials in federal and state courts as well as administrative proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), where she has performed analyses relating to economic aspects of alleged U.S. domestic industries associated with asserted patents. She has received recognition for her work in the area of patent damages, including damages investigations centered on patents related to industry standards.
In addition, Ms. Dominguez has litigated complex commercial matters involving recovery of healthcare benefits, antitrust, class action and breach of contract lawsuits. She has extensive experience in supporting the negotiation of technology licenses and agreements.
