Overview

Patricia "Tricia" Duffy is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm's Financial Services Practice Group. Ms. Duffy represents sponsors, equity investors, developers and lenders in the development, construction and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, including solar, wind, battery storage, hydroelectric and other renewable energy projects.

Ms. Duffy also has experience advising lenders on a variety of cross-border project finance transactions in emerging markets.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Duffy serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, where she teaches a course on international business transactions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Duffy was an attorney at a global law firm in its Washington, D.C., office.

Representative Experience

  • Advised sponsors in connection with the debt financing from a group of development banks in support of the rehabilitation of an infrastructure project in Angola
  • Advised a development bank on the debt financing to a mobile network operator with operations in Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, Uganda and the Gambia
  • Advised a development bank on the debt financing of, and political risk insurance for, an upstream oil and gas project in the Sultanate of Oman
  • Advised a development bank on the debt financing of a wind farm in Vietnam
  • Advised a development bank on the debt financing of a hydropower plant in Gabon
  • Advised a group of development banks on the debt financing of, and political risk insurance for, a gas-fired power plant in Afghanistan
  • Advised a group of development banks on the debt financing of a gas-fired power plant in Armenia
  • Advised a group of development and commercial banks on the debt financing for the refurbishment of a hydropower plant in Armenia
  • Advised a group of development banks on the debt financing of a solar project in the Dominican Republic
