Overview

Miguel A. Escobar is a trial attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office and is a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. Escobar's practice includes representing clients across various industries, including automotive, financial services, healthcare, trust and estates, real estate, construction and maritime.

Mr. Escobar has significant experience representing clients in consumer disputes involving consumer protection, wrongful death, general tort and commercial liability, and landlord/tenant claims. He also represents clients in business disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, breach of contract and partnership disputes.

In addition, Mr. Escobar has substantial knowledge and experience in discovery management, pleading and motion practice, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Mr. Escobar is actively involved in Houston's legal community, including his roles with the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) and the Houston Bar Association. In addition, he is an active member in sections and committees with the American Bar Association.

Mr. Escobar also is committed to Holland & Knight's pro bono initiatives and regularly represents those who are underserved in the community in various matters. While in law school, Mr. Escobar served as a comment editor for the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal and as director of negotiations for the Board of Barristers.
